Idea for Front of House

So the front steps of my house need to be replaced. I'm thinking instead of the current wood variety it's time to go concrete and rod iron...saves the repainting every year! Here is the front of my house today...

We had an amazing time when Mom, Grandma, and Karen came to visit last week. Matthew loved skipping a whole week of school, and he loved having family in town even more. Here are some more pictures from our week.

Greetings from Chicago!

We are having a wonderful family visit in Chicago. Mom and Plain Ole Grandma arrive on the train on Saturday and I (Aunt Karen) arrived yesterday. We had a great visit yesterday and I finally got to meet Max.... such a good cat.



Alex happened to be in town for work this week so she was able to come over and we barbecued dinner and had a lovely Mother's day dinner.


Kristi had ordered groceries that came packed in dry ice and we had fun on the kitchen floor playing with "clouds!"




Today we started off our day with Dim Sum and had a wonderful brunch. After eating our fill we made our way over to the Shedd Aquarium and wandered the halls looking at all the fishies.


One of the highlights was the stroller races. Both Matthew and Plain Ole Great Grandma had strollers.... Matthew's stroller was the fastest!
